I awoke with a start; I heard tiny paws running around my tent. I sat in silence as they ran off. When all was calm outside the tent I went to check my things. The bag of cheddar lay open at the front of the tent. I grumbled at my own stupidity, as I sat there counting out the bait, it occurred to me that they didn’t steal much of my supply. Perhaps they weren't all that smart. I only found two pieces of missing cheddar.

Town of Gnawnia Chapter 1

I walked down the castle passage and stopped outside a huge oak door, with a sigh I knocked.
"Enter." said the King.
I pushed open the door and stepped cautiously into the chamber. The King looked disheveled. Ever since the mouse population took over Gnawnia things had gone downhill for the kingdom. We were fighting a losing battle, after all how do you fight a war when you are unsure what the enemy even is.

Explanation: "Ok, so this is my fan-fic. The background story (as I see it) on Plankrun and Zugzwang. This story will follow Plankrun and Zugzwang together as they travel the Kingdom, and then later separately until they meet up once again. I try to write the story line as best I can in order to make it match up with the Mousehunt story. There will be small details about Plankrun that I will use after finding them in the Wiki. Because there is very little knowledge on Plankrun and Zugzwang, I will obviously be filling in a lot of blanks...."
